Aliens, quirky art, and nerdy fun in New Mexico….

UFOMuseum

I love the X-Files, and was into alien lore for a while, so of course I went for the 60th anniversary of the “Roswell Incident”–held at the International UFO Museum in Roswell, NM. (http://www.roswellufomuseum.com) I also went by the actual crash site, luckily identified by a sign (the actual site is on private property).

I also loved the quirkiness of Tinkertown, a folk-art museum in Sandia Park, New Mexico. It can’t really be described–it’s just awesome. Everything from the bottle house walls to the animated dioramas–lots of nerdy, kitschy fun to be had…
