Sybarite5 on Tour: Radiohead and (Classical) Strings

A friend introduced me to this band, Sybarite5 (http://www.sybarite5.org), when they did a concert in Sarasota some time ago. I adore stringed instruments, especially violin, which are the main feature of the band.

In addition to performing classical pieces, they cover a selection of Radiohead songs. I don’t actually know too much about Radiohead weirdly enough, despite my tendency towards alternative music (punk, goth, industrial, neo-medieval, etc.), but they put on an evocative show, alongside the locally-based Key Chorale (I’m not Christian-religious, so some of that was also lost on this pagan tree-worshipper. *laugh*).

Earlier this year, they performed at the Forward Festival here in Sarasota, but I was broke (as usual) and could not attend their shows (*heartbreak*).

For those of you with disposable income, here’s the link to the remaining dates on their 2014 tour!
